Day 12 Continued

It wasn't quite as chilly today so we walked across the bridge to an herbal market and saw all sorts of stuff including tubs of live scorpions and turtles.  Most of the stuff I had no idea what it was.  Some of it didn't smell the best.  Then we took a stroll through a large shopping district.  There is definitely not a lack of shopping in Guangzhou.  We played more cards this afternoon and then went out to eat at a Cantonese restaurant this evening with the families in our group.  There are only four families in our group so it is pretty small.  One couple has been here since the 29th of October.  When they went to pick up the child they came over for, they said it was clear she had more problems than just a heart defect.  To make a long story short, they ended up with the cutest little baby that doesn't have anything wrong with her.

There isn't anything on the agenda for tomorrow.  We received Xu Hui's VISA today so there isn't anything holding us up from leaving on Friday morning.  We are hoping that Beijing doesn't have any snow that will hold us from getting in and out of Beijing.  It has been a fun trip but we are definitely ready to go home.  Scott and I have been sharing a bed that is a little larger than a twin and is pretty hard, so I am ready to get home to my own bed.

I have attached a couple of pictures of the Buddhist temple and then a few pictures of the girls.
